WOW!

Well, I hummed and hawed about whether to write a letter to Joe's work or not about our adoption or not.  We already shared with them that we were adopting, but we also knew that many who have gone before us had written their employers personal letters letting them know about the rather large financial burden that comes along with adopting and asking their employers to donate if they felt led to do so.


So a few weeks ago Joe and I typed up a very nice letter to his work letting them know more about the adoption, why we chose Ethiopia, and also let them know how they could help: prayer, purchasing various items we have for sale, and of course, a monetary donation.


We both thought maybe we would get a hundred or so maybe from each owner.....well, we are humbled for sure.  They went above and beyond what we ever thought they would do.  One owner donated 10 $100 bills and Joe's immediate boss donated $350 (with the thought of covering the HIV/AIDS testing that will be done for Chloe).


This means we only have $1300 to go to meet our middle of May goal of $5000 which covers our dossier and translation fees of $5000!!!


We are humbled and in awe of how God sure surprised us today.  THANK YOU LORD!  Thank you to the two families that donated to our adoption today.....we will forever remember your contribution and support in bringing Chloe home :)
