I REALLY do need to get better at posting don't I? I can't believe how horribly lacking I have been when it comes to posting. I soooo wish to keep up at my posting simply because I want to continue to use it as a diary of sorts; as a record kind of like an Ebenezer of what the Lord has done, is doing, and promises to do; and as a way to hopefully encourage others in their walk and faith.
So with all that said, here is what is happening on the home and adoption front!
Adoption: We just received word we are now at the number shown below for October's numbers.
I honestly can not believe we are at 78 already! It seems like the time has flown by, and yet when we consider how many more months until a possible referral comes, it still seems like eternity. With that in mind, this week I decided to take a guess at when I think we might see a referral...of course, I hope it isn't as long as I guessed, but you never know. My best estimate is we will receive a referral sometime in February of 2013. Wouldn't that be wonderful if we received a referral on Valentine's Day which is also my hubby's bday? That would make an already special day truly memorable!
Family: We are all doing so well. The weather is cold now here (as evidenced by my frozen fingers doing the typing this evening!). We have finished up all of our summer and early fall projects. I am so excited to use my newly constructed shed to empty out all of the closets, garage, and other dark hidden areas of this house and put it all in my shed. Joe built it just for me to be able to store my homeschooling, public teaching, and other miscellaneous junk! We don't know if we will still be living in this home by the time we bring our little girl home, but just in case, we built the shed to make more room for her! I can't wait to decorate a little girl's room for the very first time!
Personally: I am doing well too. I have been doing a new diet......for the past 12 years I have put on weight that my body doesn't care to haul around on my more petite frame. I have tried and tried to get the weight off. Several times I have lost 5 or 10 pounds here and there only to shamefully gain it all back.
Not this time! This time I am using a program that spells it all out for you. I came to the conclusion I needed a program like this because while all other areas of my life are in order and going well, this one area I just couldn't do on my own. I needed accountability, things all laid out, etc. So that is exactly what I am doing and am being very successful at that. In the past 4 weeks I have lost 16.5 pounds and 18 inches of fat! I can't say enough about getting off all wheat, corn, dairy, and sugar! I don't have to use an allergy pill....I don't have any allergy symptoms at all! I haven't ached since beginning this new diet (and since I have fibromyalgia, that is a HUGE FEAT!). So not only have I thought weight, but I have gained an understanding of how my body reacts to those often harmful and inflammatory foods. For that I am so thankful!
Okay, I did it! I posted once again, and I hope to post more often.
Lots of love,
Deanna
