Our Next Goal!

Well, it is amazing to see that we made our second goal of $5000 in just the nick of time....seriously.  The last $500 +/- came in just a few days before our Favorable Determination Letter came in.  Gives ya chills just thinking about how God works.  That leads me to share one of my favorite quotes for the week:

"God funds what He favors"

Adoption is something our Father favors, and therefore we have seen evidence of His funding in our first 6 months of this journey.  Pretty cool!

Our next goal is going to be a BIG one.  No, let me restate that as the writing teacher I am would:  our next goal is going to be HUGE, ENORMOUS, GIGANTIC, COLOSSAL, STUPENDOUS, EXTENSIVE, GRAND, SUBSTANTIAL, SIZABLE.....can you tell we have been working on improving our word choices in our writing.

Here is a list of the next fees due in just about a year:
$100 Translation of final documents
$100 medical check up fee
$350 HIV PCR testing fee
$1500 Post-Adoption translation and admin. fee
$1050 post adoption reports
$2500 transition home fee
$8000 +/- air fare (two trips total)
$40 visas
$200 in country transportation/travel coordination
$404 immigrant visa
$150 food (two trips total)
$1200 lodging (two trips total)
$400 medical referral fee (UW adoption experts)
$ ? anything else that might come up???

That totals roughly $16,000.  Insurmountable right?  Well, we have already seen the Lord fund what He favors so watch out!  I think you will be just as amazed as we will be as we watch the funds come in various ways.  We are committed to working ever so diligently to earn/raise the funds while the Lord does the rest!

What can you do?  Please PRAY!  Pray that the Lord will continue to help us trust Him to do this.  Pray for us that while we wait this next year to find out who our little girl is, that we will be readied, steadied, and glorifying to Him.

With love,
Deanna and family
