December 2013 and Christmas

Even though it wasn't our first Christmas as Hawaiian residents, it kind of was since the year before we were technically residents but were in Washington State for my dad's surgery.

This past Christmas was great!  We invited our friends from the mainland, the Fowler family, over for a  little tropical Christmas.  We had 2 and a half weeks of beach fun, sightseeing, and best of all, cozy nights reading the advent book, Jotham's Journey.  Our last  night together was spent eating a traditional Hawaiian fest with rice, kalua pig, veggies, coconut haupia pie, and more!
