A BIG Blessing From Another Blogger

I usually touch bases with my blog once a week or so just to see if there is a posting I think I should add, any comments to read, and to update our fundraising thermometer.  No surprises....no big deal....just a weekly update.

However today there was a little blessing waiting for me to receive.  Another fellow adoptive mom and blogger liked the bars of soap our friend Karissa made, and she ordered two by means of a donation to our paypal account on here.

For those of you who know me, you know my tender heart breaks as these kinds of things.  I, for some reason, have this fear that God blesses all others out there, but I don't deserve it.  I know He loves me, and I can see the evidence of His loving kindness, his mercy, his forgiveness, his provision, and more in my life.  However, this adoption fundraising is HUGE.  What an enormous task!  I find myself thinking like Eeyore....we'll never make it!  Surely God blesses others, but I don't think He will raise the funds for us.

So when I saw that this gal who I don't know and who lives is Madison, MS donated to our cause when she herself is doing her own fundraising for her own adoption, it touched my heart immensely!  What a generous, wonderful, kind woman. :)  I know I said it was a little blessing, but really, it was a HUGE one because this loving woman touched my heart, reminded me that God will bless us (ME, even little old me!) too through his loving servants.  She touched my kids too as they were amazed that someone would do such a thing.

Thanks for listening and understanding how such a small little gift could be such a rather large gift in my eyes.

Thanks Alison.....WE LOVE YOU!

This same scenario has happened to our family. The idea that we (adoptive and fundraising families) are all in this together is so comforting! We are all doing what we can to bring home our children and what a privilege it is to be a small part of one another's journeys!! :)

(I found your blog from Alison's--and glad that I did!)

Happy New Year!
