All of a sudden in the past few days I have had the urge to shop for little Chloe! I want to buy her cute clothes that I haven't ever been able to buy as we just have our two boys. I want to design and decorate her room. We'd love to get her all the things she will need to live here in our home.
And yet I have to restrain myself not only because we are trying to fund raise instead of spend money, but also because I don't have the room to put any of this stuff just yet.
I am guessing everyone goes through this stage of wanting to get things ready. Maybe this is the adoption pregnancy nesting that is so much like the normal nesting of natural labor and delivery? In either case, I am just excited. I always thought I would be fine waiting out this adoption, however the more I think about Chloe, the more I want to get things ready for her.
Here is the curve ball: in the past week I have sensed the Lord wanting to prepare us for two little girls. I have no clue why, but that is just the feeling I am getting. You can't always go on your feelings, however I know the Lord (the Spirit) can lead us in our feelings. So I am mentally preparing just in case. We are wanting to be put on the waitlist for a sibling pair of little girlies, so we shall see.
Finally, I could use some help. Chloe is our one little girl name, but we need another "C" little girl name just in case. Any ideas? We would appreciate your brainstorming :)

OOOOOO!!! Two little girls! What fun! I love thinking of baby names!!! Here are a few ideas for you with their meanings:
Chaela - Who is like God?
Claire - clear and bright
Colby - dark haired
Cady - simple happiness
Carla - strong one
Carrie - melody and song
Ceana - God is gracious
Chessa - peaceful
Cheyenne - God is gracious
Love you guys!
TOTALLY get the shopping thing. It's adoption-nesting... I suggest giving in to some cute little socks. They're cheap, they're adorable and not seasonal! The socks that look like ballet slippers make me positively high.
We planned on "just one girl" and then got our two girls within 3 weeks of each other (they were born to different birth families 13 months apart). So, you just never know. Good for you for being open to God's editing. It must be because you're an english teacher.
Oh, you're a good sport asking for baby name suggestions! :) Caimile is african for "a family is born". Candice is the name of several ethiopian queens, but it also means "brilliant white", so maybe not. Cara - A friend, beloved one. Chiquita is spanish for "the little one"...hmm. Maybe not. Cossette "of the victorious" and always makes me think of Les Miserables. Claire/Clara... bright and famous. Cindilou... as in "WHO", I guess.
Fun fun!
I think Cassie is so cute... :}
How do you pronounce the Caimile? Is that like Camille? Camille is one we REALLY like...in fact, if Cameron hadn't been a boy, he would have been Camille. I also really like Clara.

How fun!! Maybe an art project/decoration creation would allow you to funnel some of the nesting energy without spending much money ;-)
Much love,

Love the "C" names...you know all 4 of our kids start with "C". Callie, Carson, Caty (Catherine) and soon-to-be Caroline! :)
