Join us in prayer

Some unsettling news came from our adoption agency and from tons of other adoptive parents regarding the adoption process in Ethiopia.  It seems there is a rumor out there from MOWA (the Ministry of Women's Affairs...Ethiopia) that while they are used to processing 50 adoptions per day, they are going to bring this down to just 10 per day.  If it might take us up to a year to be able to bring our daughter home from Ethiopia at the 50 per day rate, what would the 10 per day rate do to that process?  Ugh!  I feel as though I have been punched in the stomach-literally!

And yet God is good to remind me that HE is in control, that HE loves his children and orphans in Ethiopia, and that HE works out everything for the good of those who love Him.  With the goodness of God to desire our very best, the perfect will of God to plan it out, and the sovereignty of God to carry it through, why am I fretting?  Because it is in my nature.  But it is also in my nature to begin praying like mad.

Wanna join us in prayer?  This Sunday night at 5 PM (Pacific time) our family along with countless others are going to join in prayer for this situation.  Even though it is just a rumor, we want to ask the Lord to intervene and work things out His way.  If the process slows down, even though it affects us and our desires to get our daughter home, it really affects the orphans in Ethiopia desperately needing, desperately hoping, and desperately waiting for their forever homes.  We don't want them to wait any longer than they have to.  We want to bring our daughter home and give her life and give her a future and a hope.

Thanks for joining us in prayer!

Deanna, we are praying. Remember that God IS in control and that by worrying, we aren't changing anything. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean NOT on your own understanding... In all your ways, acknowledge HIM and he will make your path straight.

I feel sick to my stomach knowing all those babies have to wait even longer to have somebody hold them, love them and care for them. We will and are praying.

I hear ya girl! Praying for all those little ones waiting for mama's and dads. Oh, that just breaks my heart- and I know that breaks HIS heart even more!

Waiting is so hard. Praying for you.
