After that magazine article was seemingly laid out in front of us, we decided to lay out a fleece about it. "God, if you want us to adopt a child, will you please tell us by having someone who knows nothing about this whole adoption idea to tell us that we should adopt?" Thank you!
Well, while waiting for Him to answer that fleece, I kept feeling like the Lord was telling my heart, "Child, you know me and you know my voice. You don't need a sign like this."
Our fleece hasn't ever been answered...at least in the way we thought it would be answered. No, no one we don't know hasn't told us to adopt, however all of our close family and friends HAVE. That was such an encouragement to hear. One friend even told us that if anyone was to adopt, it would be us. What a blessing and what a humbling experience to have friends tell you that. We are surely blessed with the most wonderful friends and family :)
