His leading

Prov. 16:9 says, "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."   How true that is as our family has found out.


We have always thought about adopting another child.  Way back when after we had our two boys, we had the urge to have more kiddos but we weren't sure if my body would take it.  My back always went out, my thyroid wigged out, and the list went on and on.  Joe had his little surgery, and we just felt that if we ever did want more kiddos, there were plenty on this earth that needed homes.  We just didn't know it would actually happen....that God was going to actually lead us to do it.


Sometimes it is hard to know whether a desire in your heart is from God or just from yourself.  These past few months have been full of that question for me. I questioned whether the desire to adopt was just my idea or His.  Well, in order to give witness to the way God leads, I thought I would share all the confirmations we saw and experienced along the way over the past few months as we have been trying to figure out what His will is.
