I have had a few people I know share that they wish they could donate funds toward bringing Chloe home, but their funds are tight in this economy. I totally understand that....it has been a very, very difficult time for so many of our friends and family too.
I have all these fundraising ideas and plans, and yet there is only me really. Joe and the boys will help, but there is only so much kids can do. Joe is incredibly bogged down with all the work and hours he puts in at his day job and we are so very thankful he has his day job in this economy!).
And then the idea came to mind: why not start a "TEAM CHLOE?" This team would consist of friends and family who want to help us bring her home. With all that I have to do while also working part time and homeschooling and being a wife and a mom and a friend, why not see if others want to help.
Here are the things a team member could do:
1. Get auction items for a spring auction from retailers in our area...phone calls and personal visits to ask for the donation, picking up the donation
2. Help me get the t-shirt fundraiser up and running
3. Help me find a few venues that will let us sell items and fundraise at their location
4. Find a location that will let us gift wrap Christmas presents this year for donations
5. Come and help me gift wrap :)
6. The list goes on and on..............!
I have so many ideas in my head, and I know my dear friend Kyla has just as many as she has been researching for ideas and such too.
So, what do you say? Wanna change the world for one with me? Wanna help a wee little girl who will be born in a poverty-stricken country come home to her forever family? Half our hearts are here....half are in Ethiopia waiting to be reunited.
Who wants to be a part of Team Chloe???? Let me know!
